Ibrahim Azhar, a first year BBM student of a college at Ullal, was admitted to the General Hospital after sustaining injuries when he got off the Charvattur-Mangalore passenger train fearing harassment by senior students at 7.30 a.m. on Thursday. According to a complaint filed with the Railway police, Ibrahim Azhar boarded the Charvattur-Mangalore passenger and got off immediately as he was ‘menacingly’ approached by senior students. His friend Shanid was also reportedly targeted. Railway police sources said such harassment was common but students seldom lodged complaints.
