KOCHI: The first phase of Kochi port’s ambitious ‘e-thuramugham’ project will go live on Saturday making it the first e-port in the country.

This marks a milestone in the port’s endeavour to implement a comprehensive Enterprise Resource Planning programme for a SAP-based fully Integrated Port Information System (iPINS). The Cochin Port Trust will spend nearly Rs.15 crore on the project which is being implemented by Tata Consultancy .

Single window facility for port users for filing applications, receiving service bills, for making payments and enquiries will be one of the features of the new e-profile.
