The National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC) has appreciated the efforts of the Kerala State Cooperative Coir Marketing Federation (Coirfed) in promoting and propagating coir geo-textiles in rural areas. In a communication to Coirfed managing director K.M. Muhammad Anil, NCSTC director Manoj K. Patairiya said that the endeavour was a novel technology-popularisation initiative.
Dr. Patairiya asked the Coirfed to provide the NCSTC with more details on the initiative “because the work would be immensely useful for other States as well to scale up science-and-technology communication programme in the country.”
