Demand restoration of internal assessment marks for distance education students
KANNUR: The Students Federation of India (SFI) and the All India Students Federation (AISF) staged separate protests on the Kannur University’s Managattuparamba campus here on Wednesday demanding restoration of internal assessment marks for distance education students.
The AISF activists tried to barge into a hall near the Vice-Chancellor’s chamber where the university Syndicate meeting was in progress around 11 a.m. The police arrested the protestors. AISF State president T. Pradeep Kumar, joint secretary M. Sreejith and vice-president A. Ramya led the protest.
Stopped by the police
The SFI march to the university campus was inaugurated by its State secretary A.N. Shamseer. The police stopped the marchers outside the university administrative building.
