Thiruvananthapuram: Raja, a 16-year-old tiger, died in the city zoo, bringing down their number to seven. The animal died yesterday and the carcass burnt after post-mortem, Zoo Director P.N. Unnikrishnan said. It had been inactive for several days and was confined to its cage. Raja also had a festering wound in the leg. There were now four females and three males in the zoo. - UNI
