KOZHIKODE: The Bharat Sanchar Nigam cellular service, which was not operational for a few hours in the morning on Wednesday, put consumers to inconvenience. The fault was restored at around 2.30 p.m.

Only calls from landline to landline could be made. The numbers in the 95 and 04 series were also not available in the morning. The technical snag in the operation of the lines was due to a fault in the Trunk Automobile Exchange, BSNL public relations officer K. Balamani said. The BSNL engineering section staff rectified the fault by noon.
