Karat, Yechury Manik Sarkar among leaders to campaign in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: General secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) Prakash Karat and other national leaders will hit the campaign trail beginning April 16.

Mr. Karat, who would spend a fortnight in Kerala with a short break, will begin his campaign tour of the State on April 16 addressing public meetings in Thiruvananthapuram.

He will be in Kollam on April 17, in Alappuzha on April 18, Palakkad on April 23, Kozhikode on April 24, Kannur on April 29 and Kasaragod on April 30.

CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Sitaram Yechury will begin his campaign tour, which will also have a short break in between, with meetings in Idukki on April 15, in Kottayam on April 16, in Alappuzha on April 17, in Wayanad on April 25 and in Malappuram on April 26.

Tripura Chief Minister and CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Manik Sarkar will address campaign meetings in Palakkad on April 20, in Thrissur on April 21 and in Malappuram on April 22.

Veteran CITU leader and Polit Bureau member M.K. Pandhe will speak at campaign meetings in Kollam on April 16, in Pathanamthitta on April 17, in Thiruvananthapuram on April 18, in Kottayam on April 19, in Thrissur on April 20 and in Ernakulam on April 21.

CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Brinda Karat will speak at campaign meetings in Alappuzha on April 19, in Ernakulam on April 20, in Kozhikode on April 21 and in Malappuram on April 22. S. Ramachandran Pillai will speak at meetings in various districts from April 10 to 30.

Leader of the Opposition V.S. Achuthanandan will campaign in Malampuzha on April 10, in Kottayam on April 11, in Pathanamthitta on April 12, in Idukki on April 13, in Thrissur on April 14, in Malampuzha on April 15, in Malappuram on April 16, in Kozhikode on April 17, in Wayanad on April 18, in Malampuzha from April 19 to 29 and in Kannur on April 30.

CPI(M) State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan will campaign in Kollam on April 10, in Pathanamthitta on April 11, in Alappuzha on April 12, in Kottayam on April 13, in Idukki on April 14, in Thiruvananthapuram on April 15 and 16, in Kollam on April 17, in Kottayam on April 18, in Alappuzha on April 19, in Ernakulam on April 20, in Malappuram on April 21, in Palakkad on April 22, in Thrissur on April 23, in Wayanad on April 24, in Kozhikode on April 26, in Kasaragod on April 27 and in Kannur from April 28 to 30.
