Exhibition of drawingsKOZHIKODE: An exhibition of drawings prepared by students based on "Koottu" a collection of poetry of Sathyachandran Poyilkavu will be on show at Sunday Theatre at Public Library at Mananchira on Saturday and Sunday. Emigration official suspendedNEDUMBASSERY: An emigration sub-inspector at the airport here has been suspended in connection with clearing a Sri Lankan national carrying forged documents to Mumbai, en route Canada, on April 11. Vigneshwara, 33, hailing from Jaffna in Sri Lanka, took an Air-India flight, AI 691, from here to Mumbai. He reportedly missed the connection flight from Mumbai. However, it was also said that he was denied passage after Air-India security staff at the Mumbai airport turned suspicious about his credentials. On further verification, it was found that his passport and visa were forged, following which he was sent back here by the Air-India flight AI 690. A Correspondent

Plan to build bridgeKOCHI: The Goshree Islands Development Authority has planned to construct a bridge connecting the Thanthonnithuruth island with mainland Ernakulam. Authority sources said its recent general council meeting decided to carry out a feasibility study on the project.
