THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As many as 10 students from various colleges in and around the city were short-listed for appointment as `voice trainees' by Genpact, a BPO subsidiary of the General Electric Company, here on Saturday.

These students along with 107 others were participating in a recruitment programme organised by the Career Guidance and Placement Committee of the University College. S.N. Kumar, head of the placement committee, said on Saturday that the students are likely to be posted in New Delhi or in Hyderabad. While five students from the University college made it to the short list, two students from the Government College Kariyavattom and one each from the Government Arts Collge, the Mar Ivanios College and the St. Xavier's College, Thumba were selected.
