MALAPPURAM: The State Literacy Mission has invited applications for the 10th standard equivalency examination it conducts across the State. Applications will be accepted at the District Literacy Mission Office here till December 30. Application forms will be available from the Literacy Mission Office or from the continuing education centres.

Those who pass the 10th standard equivalency examination will be qualified to take the Public Service Commission tests and also to pursue higher education.

Those who completed 18 years of age and studied up to the seventh standard can register for the 10th standard examination. Those who failed the SSLC examination can also apply.

Application form can be had by paying Rs.100. The course fee is Rs.2,000, which can be paid in two instalments. The first instalment of Rs.1,200 should be sent along with the application form as demand draft to the Literacy Mission Director. The balance amount of Rs.800 should be paid three months before the examination.

Certificates proving age, reservation, and education qualification should be attached with the application. The photograph on the application form should be attested by a Gazetted officer.
