Guruvayur: Vishwa Hindu Parishad general secretary Pravin Togadia on Saturday said that his party would agitate against the Aligarh Muslim University off-campus centre in Malappuram.

Addressing a press conference at Guruvayur, he said the Government should drop this move.

“If secularism is the assertion that practices or institutions should remain separately from all religions or religious beliefs, it does not happen in India. The so-called secularism being projected in the country has Hindus at the receiving end,” he said. He said that facilities for pilgrims should be improved at Sabarimala.

He said the VHP was against decriminalising homosexuality.

He visited the Guruvayur Sreekrishna Temple on Saturday and offered ‘thulabharam’ with 88 kg ‘kadali’ plantains.
