KOZHIKODE: Seven persons have been selected for the Vivekananda Puraskar, instituted in memory of K.V.C. Narayanan Nair, freedom fighter and founder of Theertha Sarathi magazine, on the occasion of his second death anniversary. A.K. Sankara Menon (freedom fighter); K. Raveendran (travelogue writing); John Brittas (media); Kalabhavan Mani (cinema); Thottathil Raveendran (social activism); Santhosh George Kulangara (tourism); and Sreejayan (medicine) have been selected for the award, which carries a gold locket, plaque and citation. — Staff Reporter
