Engineering /medical allotment on September 1

33,584 candidates have registered on web site

Fee to be remitted from September 4 to 6

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The first round of course/college allotment for engineering and medical courses this year will be done by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations at 5 p.m. on September 1.

The allotment will be done on the basis of the options registered by candidates till 9 a.m. on Thursday morning. Till that time as many as 33,584 candidates had registered 25,49,378 course/college options at the web site cee.kerala.gov.in.

Once the allotment is done, candidates will be able to see on their home page details relating to the course/college assigned to them and the fee/deposits they will have to remit, a press note issued here said.

The fee/deposit shown in the web site must be remitted in the designated branches of Canara Bank from September 4 to September 6.

The allotment and options - in the stream concerned - of candidates who fail to remit the fee in time will be cancelled.

In the case of students who received allotments on July 25 - the allotment that was cancelled on July 28 - and who did not submit options afresh for the allotment to be done on September 1, the fee and deposit they remitted will be refunded after admissions close.

Students who remitted fee/deposit as per the allotment done on July 25 and who figure in the allotment list to be published on September 1 should remit the fee/deposit shown on their home page. However, if they have remitted a fee/deposit that is higher than the one applicable for the course for which they receive allotment on September 1, they need not make any further payment.

If the situation is the other way round, candidates will have to pay the difference in fee/deposit at the designated branches of Canara bank on September 4, 5 and 6, the press note said. The individual allotment letter containing all details can be accessed at the web site cee.kerala.gov.in. A printout of this letter can also be taken.

Candidates should secure admission in various colleges from September 10 to September 12. At the time of admission, candidates should compulsorily have with them the admit card for the entrance examination - 2007, certificate proving age, T.C, original mark list/mark list and pass certificate of the qualifying examination, eligibility certificate (except those who passed the HSE/VHSE examinations), migration certificate (if applicable), certificate for physical condition (annexure XVI(a) or XVI(b) of prospectus), the fee receipt from Canara Bank and the allotment letter, the press note added.
