Calicut University B.Sc. examination results published

MALAPPURAM: The results of the B.Sc. programmes of Calicut University published on Saturday marked 82.61 per cent pass.

Women bagged 69 of the 77 ranks in 24 subjects.

Most ranks went to colleges in Thrissur district. B.Sc. students from colleges in Thrissur bagged 36 ranks, while students from colleges in Malappuram secured 17 ranks, followed by colleges in Palakkad (15), Kozhikode (6) and Wayanad (3).

As many as 5,880 students secured first class, 1,249 secured second class and 601 got third class.

As many as 9,367 students appeared for the B.Sc. final examinations this year.

T.M. Rakhi from Vimala College, Thrissur, bagged the first rank in B.Sc. Statistics.

Gayatri Haridas from Mercy College, Palakkad, got the first rank in B.Sc. Biotechnology.

The first rank in B.Sc. Microbiology went to S.V. Sandhya from E.M.E.A. College, Kondotty and in B.Sc. Chemistry, E.V. Anuja from Little Flower College, Guruvayur, won the first rank.

Hasna K. from Providence Women’s College, Kozhikode, bagged the first rank in B.Sc. Physics, while G. Deepa Kumari from Mercy College, Palakkad, won the first rank in B.Sc. Botany.

The first rank in B.Sc. Computer Science went to Diana David from Prachoti Niketan College, Puthukkad.

V.B. Aliya from St. Joseph’s College, Irinjalakuda, bagged the first rank in B.Sc. Zoology. Alphy Jose from St. Mary’s College, Thrissur, won the first rank in B.Sc. Mathematics.
