220 senior division cadets and 380 junior division cadets participated in the camp.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The annual training camp-2007 conducted by the Number 1 Kerala Naval Unit NCC, Thiruvananthapuram, ended on Saturday.

The 12-day camp was held at Government College, Karyavattom. A press note issued here said 220 senior division cadets (college division) and 380 junior division cadets (school division) participated in the camp.

During the camp, the cadets were trained in various areas such as parade, semaphore, small arms firing, boat pulling, sailing and kayaking. The cadets were also trained in fire fighting, traffic control and disaster management.

Special classes in career-orientation, yoga, aerobics and on morale boosting were arranged for the cadets who also visited the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre.

The camp commandant was Captain N. Shreekumar, commanding officer of the unit, the press note added.
