KOCHI: The Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation (IIAM) Cochin will conduct its US Diploma programme specialising in arbitration, mediation and intellectual property in Mumbai from May 7 to 19.

The programme is being offered in association with Hamline University School of Law. A press release issued by the institute said that the programme consists of interactive skills in negotiation and mediation. This diploma programme offers lawyers, law students, MBA students and other professionals an opportunity to study alternative dispute resolution theory and put that theory into immediate practice in the classroom setting. This constitutes a sxi-credit programme.

Besides the diploma course, the institute also offers a US certificate in consensual dispute resolution. K.V. Balakrishnan, Director of the institute, said that the programme would be taught in the classroom by highly rated professors from DRI Hamline University School of Law. It will be a 50-hour course for two weeks to be held in Mumbai.

The certificate in dispute management course is a distance-learning course valid for six months from the date of enrolment. Students can enrol during any time of the year. For details, call 0484-6570101.
