Thiruvananthapuram: The Sustainable Development Yatra, being undertaken by Janasree Mission chairman M.M. Hassan, will conclude here with a conference on November 1. Mr. Hassan started his ‘yatra’ on October 2 to focus on the need for sustainable development and the role of self-help groups in the process. Speaking to The Hindu, Mr. Hassan said at the end of his ‘yatra,’ he would have covered all the 140 constituencies in the State. The valedictory function would be inaugurated by Union Defence Minister A.K. Antony on November 1. The ‘yatra’ entered the capital on Thursday and would pass through various Assembly constituencies in the district, prior to the valedictory, he said. — Special Correspondent
