THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K.V. Rabindran Nair, former Chief Secretary of the State, died at his residence here on Friday, aged 74.

Before holding the post of the Chief Secretary from 1992 to 1994, he had also served the State government as the Finance Secretary and the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. At the Centre, he had held key positions such as the Secretary to the Planning Commission and Member Secretary of the Ninth Finance Commission.

Condolence

Chief Minister V.S. Achuth anandan described Rabindr an Nair as an officer who had sincerely worked for improving the civil service and for protecting the State’s rights.
