KALPETTA: As many as 300 tribal men took out a protest march, holding ration cards, in front of the taluk supply office at Mananthavady on Tuesday demanding rectification of the alleged anomalies in the new ration cards issued to them.

The march was held under the aegis of the Kerala Adivasi Forum. Inaugurating the march, Thulasi Vijayan, State president of the forum, said it would intensify its agitation throughout the State as anomalies existed in the ration cards of the tribal people in many parts. A survey conducted by the forum found that more than 3,000 tribal families in the district had been included in the APL category in the new ration cards, K.
