THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Communist Party of India (CPI) national council will meet here for three days beginning on Saturday to discuss, among other things, the alliances for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Party national executive member D. Raja told The Hindu here on Friday that the council would discuss preparations for the Lok Sabha polls, possible alliances in various States and the political situation consequent upon the terror attack in Mumbai.
