KOCHI: The Left parties led by the CPI (M) held demonstrations and protest rallies in different parts of the city on Saturday against the Indo-U.S. nuclear deal.

At Edappally Toll Junction, the party workers organised a protest march. Sebastian Paul, MP, addressed the meeting that followed.

DYFI Central Commtitee member Zakeer Hussain addressed the protestors at Vazhakkala and T.L. Anil Kumar, State president of the Headload and General Workers’ Union addressed the protest meeting at Palarivattom. CPI (M) area committee member K.D. Vincent also addressed the meeting at Palarivattom.
