THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The sale of khadi and village industries’ products at the fairs organised in connection with the golden jubilee of the Khadi Board and at the Onam fairs has crossed the target of Rs 6.5 crore. Vice-chairman of the Board, T. Govindan, attributed it to the government’s exhortation to its staff to wear khadi or handloom clothes once a week and the dedicated work of the employees and workers of the Board. –Special Correspondent
