THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Tourism has come up with a Hindi version of the official web site to cater to the Hindi-speaking people and woo them to ‘God’s own country.’

For a wider reach in the burgeoning tourism market, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Malayalam versions of the web site are now available with details of Kerala and its tourism products.

The launch of the Hindi version ( comes at a time when Kerala Tourism is aggressively marketing the destination in the northern region of the country. The authorities have decided to tap the high-spending domestic tourists from the northern States.

The Hindi version is an effort to introduce Kerala to the Hindi-speaking people and thereby attract them to experience the unique tourism products on offer, says the IT solution provider of Kerala Tourism. It has sections on Introduction, History, Geography, Climate, Festivals, Art and Culture, Language, People, Tourism, Sports and Games, Literature, and Science and Technology.

Basic information pertaining to Kerala is provided in the Hindi version. Browsers can get more details from the web site of Kerala Tourism ( The web site has recently been given a facelift to make it traveller-friendly and provide comprehensive information on the “land where the season never ends.” It has been made attractive and enriched with more content pertaining to the destination. The site, which has won several international awards, is one of the largest in the country and uses the latest information technology (IT) tools.
