KOCHI: The Self-financing Engineering College Managements Association has decided not to admit students in the seats allotted to the government if the Office of the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations fails to complete the allotment process before August 10.

A meeting of the association representatives on Monday decided to consider the government seats as management quota after August 10.

The agreement reached between the government and the management would become void after August 5, association representatives said. But colleges affiliated to the association would admit students, who have secured admission in the seats (after remitting the fee allotted to the government by the managements, if they are ready to join the educational institutions without waiting for the final intimation from the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, G.P.C. Nayar, president of the association, said here on Monday.
