KOZHIKODE: A joint meeting of tax consultants and merchants will be held at the Calicut Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) auditorium at Asokapuram to chalk out an agitation plan to demand extension of the time given, April 30, for filing of stock inventory for renewal of VAT registration. CCCI honorary secretary P.T.S. Unni said there were practical difficulties in meeting the deadline. He warned that the Chamber would launch an agitation if the government did not extend the deadline.
