PALAKKAD: N.N. Krishnadas, MP, on Sunday said that writer O.V. Vijayan who hailed from Palakkad did not get due recognition though some of his works were world class.

Inaugurating a meeting to mark the third death anniversary of O.V. Vijayan organised at Thasrak village near here, Mr. Krishnadas said that he used the lingo of Palakkad in many of his works. In his key note address writer Pallikunnan urged the authorities to set up a Cartoon Academy in memory of O.V. Vijayan who was also a cartoonist. The meeting was addressed by Balu Pulinelly and K.
