PATHANAMTHITTA: The hamlet of Cherukolpuzha, near Kozhencherry, on the banks of the Pampa is all spruced up for the week-long Ayroor-Cherukolpuzha Hindumatha Parishad which begins on Sunday. Swami Poorna murthananda Puri, general secretary of the Matha Amrithanandamayi Math, will inaugurate the 96th Hindu religious meet, organised by the Hindumatha Maha Mandalam (HMM), at 3.30 pm. The Swami will be accorded a reception with the auspicious Poornakumbhom by HMM president T.N. Upendranatha Kurup in the afternoon. Kerala University Vice-Chancellor M.K. Ramachandran Nair will preside over the inaugural function. Principal Secretary to Prime Minister T.K.A. Nair will inaugurate the valedictory meet at 3 p.m. on February 10.
