Results are expected to be released by 11 a.m.

Arrangements for counting of votes, to be conducted on May 13, are complete, according to Collector and District Election Officer P.G. Thomas. Counting will begin at 8 a.m.

The entire results were expected to be released by 11 a.m., Mr. Thomas said.

As many as 2,500 civil police officers and 3,000 additional security personnel will be deployed on May 13. The following are the counting centres for various constituencies — Chelakkara: C. Achutha Menon Memorial College Hall, Kuttenellur; Kunnamkulam: C. Achutha Menon Memorial College Main Hall, Kuttenellur; Guruvayur: M.R. Raman Memorial High School, Chavakkad; Manalur: Sreekrishna Higher Secondary School, Guruvayur; Wadakkanchery: Devamatha CMI Public School Auditorium Hall, Thrissur; Ollur: St. Joseph Hall, Devamatha CMI Public School, Thrissur; Thrissur: Infant Jesus Hall; Devamatha CMI Public School, Thrissur; Nattika: Fr. Canisius Hall; Devamatha CMI Public School, Thrissur; Kaipamangalam: Centenary Hall, Kodungalloor KKTM College, Pulloottu; Irinjalakuda: College Auditorium; Christ College, Irinjalakuda; Puthukkad: Seminar Hall, Christ College, Irinjalakuda; Chalakudy: Northern Section, College Auditorium; Christ College, Irinjalakuda; and Kodungalloor: Northern Section, Third Floor, KKTM College Auditorium, Pulloottu.

Arrangements have been completed for the counting of votes in the district, District Collector M.C. Mohandas has said.

Counting will be held at Government VHSS, Munnar (Devikulam constituency); St. Sebastian's UPS, Nedumkandam (Udumbanchola); Newman's College, Thodupuzha (Thodupuzha); and Mariyagiri English Medium HSS, Peerumade (Peerumade).

Observers assigned by the Election Commission will be present at each counting centre. There will be 14 tables each in each centre. Counting supervisors, counting assistant and micro-observers will monitor the counting.

Candidates and agents approved by returning officers only will be allowed entry into the counting centres.

In Thodupuzha constituency, there will be special arrangements for video-graphing the counting and it will be screened for the agents.

Postal votes available till 8 a.m. on Friday will only be counted, the Collector said.
