Coaching classes

Thiruvananthapuram: The coaching classes for GATE-2007, being organised under the auspices of the Continuing Education Cell, will commence at Government Engineering College, Barton Hill from October 14. The classes are being offered in Electronics and Communication, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. Karthika puja

Thiruvananthapuram: Karthika puja will be performed and Mantradeeksha sangamom will be held at Amritanandamayi Math at Amrita Nagar near here on Tuesday. A release from the math said Soorya Krishnamoorthy, Swami Ambikananda and Swami Vidyananda Giri would deliver the Amirthaprabhashanom. The grama panchayats have been asked to submit the list of beneficiaries of the Indira Awas Yojana Housing scheme to the concerned block panchayat secretary before October 15, an official release, quoting district panchayat president Anavoor Nagappan said.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: India Post, Kerala Circle is introducing a new service called `Anytime Speed Post' between Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi. It will be inaugurated by Inspector General of Police Arun Kumar Sinha who will book the first letter in the RMS speed post counter here at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
