Clashes at Palluruthy, Kalamassery

KOCHI: The police have registered cases on different incidents of group clashes at Palluruthy and Kalamassery. The police said that employees of two private buses clashed at Koonamthayyil on Friday . At Palluruthy, two groups clashed on Thursday night. Three persons were admitted to hospitals, with injuries though none of the injured were serious.

at Kinfra park

KOCHI: The ground-breaking ceremony for the Nippon Kerala Centre (NKC) being set up by the Alumni Society of AOTS Kerala (ASAK) was held at the Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra) Hi-tech Park at Kalamassery on Friday. Japanese Ambassador Yasukuni Enoki and Kinfra Managing Director Suresh Babu were among those present. Edgar Morris, Chairman of ASAK, said the objective of the project was to boost Kerala as an investment destination by enhancing the skills of industrial workers and managers of the State with modern production and management techniques.

Technical festival

KOCHI: Xystus -07, the annual technical festival conducted by the Electrical and Electronics Students Association by the School of Engineering, Cochin University of Science and Technology, was inaugurated on Friday by Mohanlal Menon, Chief Manager, Projects, BPCL. P.S. Sreejith, Principal, School of Engineering, and Sheena K.M., Head of the Department, Division of Electrical and Electronics were also present.
