Bag creates panic at Corporation office
KOCHI: An unattended bag outside the Corporation office here on Thursday afternoon created panic for sometime. The police came with the dog squad and took the bag to Ambedkar stadium, where it was opened to find harmless equipment inside. The bag was left by a man when he went to pay some taxes at the Corporation office. The police, later, handed over the bag to the man. Staff Reporter
KOCHI: A three-day national seminar on ``Discrete and Fuzzy Mathematics'' began at the Federal Institute of Science and Technology, Angamaly, here on Thursday. Organised jointly by the Institute and the Kerala Mathematical Association, it was inaugurated by T. Trivikraman, Academic Secretary of the Association. V.K. Balachandran, president of the association, presided.
KOCHI: Lepakshi, an exhibition of handicrafts and handloom from Andhra Pradesh, will begin at the Women's Association Hall on Friday. The exhibition and sale will be inaugurated by Revatha Chandrasekhar, DIG, at 3 p.m. The fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. till March 4.
