KOZHIKODE: CIESCO (Citizens’ Intellectual Educational Social and Cultural Organisation) at its general body meeting held here on Tuesday asked the State government to construct the approach road of the Kothi Bridge that had been constructed 12 years ago.

Easy access

In a resolution to Public Works Minister Mons Joseph the CIESCO at its 51st general body meeting pointed out that once the approach road was constructed to the Kothi Bridge, areas such as Payyanakkal and Chakkumkadave would be easily accessible from the western side of the city.

‘Motorable bridge’

The meeting appealed to the authorities concerned to build the approach road at the earliest and make the bridge motorable for the convenience of residents of the areas in the vicinity of the bridge. C.A. Ummer Koya, CIESCO president, presided. K.P. Alikoya was elected president, C.K.V. Moosa, general secretary and A.P. Mohammed, treasurer.
