The government has appointed K.N. Chandrasekharan Pillai, former director of the Indian Law Institute, as the chairman of a committee that has been constituted to revise university laws and statutes. An official press note said here on Thursday that the committee would have Calicut University Vice Chancellor M. Abdul Salam, former Additional Chief Secretary K.K. Vijayakumar, and Santhosh J. K.V. of K.E. College, Mannanam, as its members, and Higher Education Council secretary Veeramanikandan as its convener. — Special Correspondent
