KOZHIKODE: Calicut University’s School for Folklore Studies has invited applications for admission to its six-month diploma course in ‘traditional massage.’ A pass in Plus Two with 50 per cent marks is the eligibility. The course will be based on the ‘Kalari’ tradition of north Kerala and will have four theory and two practical topics. The course aims at moulding trained, professional masseurs. Govindavarama Raja who teaches at the School for Folklore Studies said here on Friday that such courses will help create genuine masseurs thereby curbing fakes in the field. — Special Correspondent
