For Plus One admissions under the single-window system

Candidates can modify applications till Thursday

Special facilities for carrying out corrections

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Candidates who wish to modify their application forms for Plus One admissions under the single-window system will be able to make the changes from Monday. The applicants will be able to do so from 12 noon on Monday to 5 p.m. on Thursday. Though it was initially decided to allot only Wednesday and Thursday for corrections, two more days were given after data entry was completed on a war footing, said K. Anvar Sadath, Executive Director, IT@School, which is carrying out the work.

Students will be able to view the details which they have already provided in the application forms by entering their application number, given on the acknowledgement cards, in a rectangular box provided on the home page of www.hscap.kerala.gov.in, www.hscap.itschool.gov.in or www.hscap.kerala.nic.in

“The candidates can make the changes either directly or by taking a printout of the application form from the web site,” Mr. Sadath said. “A formal application requesting incorporation of the changes should then be submitted to the same school where the candidate has initially applied.” The candidate’s application number, name, address, phone number, register number and signature should accompany the corrections. IT@School has arranged special facilities for carrying out the corrections in its 3,000-odd centres, including Akshaya centres and schools with broadband Internet connection.

“Students with low marks should also make sure that they spread their choice of educational institutions instead of limiting their option to one or two schools where candidates with higher marks are likely to apply. This will ensure their chance for securing admissions more viable.”

Information on the steps candidates should take before entering the changes is available on www.itschool.gov.in and www.dhsekerala.gov.in

The IT@School ViCTERS channel will beam a special programme on these steps from Monday through Thursday at 9.05 a.m.; 1.05 p.m.; 5.05 p.m.; and 9.05 p.m. An interactive session involving children on the class VII social science textbook will be aired these days at 2 p.m.; 3 p.m.; 6 p.m.; 7 p.m.; and 10 p.m.
