A meeting of organisations that support the anti-Coca-Cola agitation will be held at Plachimada as the agitation completed 3,000 days on Thursday.

The local people, including tribal people, had started the agitation against the Coca-Cola bottling unit alleging over-exploitation of ground water and pollution of the area from the waste of the company supplied to farmers as fertilizer. Chairman of the Plachimada Coca-Cola Virudha Samara Samithi Vilayodi Venugopal said the State government should constitute a tribunal to get compensation from the company for the loss suffered by farmers and local people.
