The Students Federation of India (SFI) has demanded that the Health Minister, who is also the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Kerala University of Health and Allied Sciences (KUHAS), take immediate action against those responsible for the anomalies detected by the Vigilance in according sanction for courses and affiliations to medical colleges in 2011-12. The Vigilance court in Thrissur had ordered an inquiry into the anomalies. The report submitted has found that the university had not conducted proper inspections at medical colleges before giving recognition to over 230 institutions, the SFI statement said. — Special Correspondent
