As many as 32 teams from across Kerala will compete in the Ananthapuri Premier cricket tournament which will begin at the Central Stadium here on Thursday.

General convenor of the tournament I.J. Bosco and convenor Praveen Raj said here on Wednesday that the tournament was organised in memory of freedom fighter and member of the Constituent Assembly Annie Mascrene, former Chief Minister C.H. Mohammed Koya, and founder-president of the Kerala Sports Council Col. Goda Varma Raja.

Head of the royal family of erstwhile Travancore Uthradom Tirunal Marthanda Varma is scheduled to inaugurate the tournament.
