KOCHI: The Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) has denied reports that Arun Surya, 23, who was arrested for allegedly sending an e-mail to President Pratibha Patil stating that United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi would be killed on November 14 and bombs set off at different places in the country, had any connection with the university.

The Registrar of Cusat said in a release that the youth had never pursued any B.Tech. programme offered by it.
