He suffered heart attack while taking his co-passenger’s body to their native place.

ALAPPUZHA: Two persons were killed in separate road accidents in the district on Sunday, and another person died of cardiac arrest while taking his co-passenger’s body to their native place, Thiruvananthapuram.

The first accident occurred at 2 a.m. on Sunday when a car that was returning to Thiruvananthapuram from Kannur lost control and hit a culvert near Mararikulam here.

One of the passengers, Sunil Kumar, 41, died in the Alappuzha Medical College while his co-passenger Gopakumar, 43, died of heart attack while he was taking Mr. Kumar’s body to Thiruvananthapuram. The third passenger in the car, Prem Jacob, 33, sustained minor injuries.

Both Mr. Kumar and Mr. Jacob are employees with the Survey Department in Thiruvananthapuram.

In the second accident, K.P. Rajasekharan Nair, 50, of Champakulam, died when the car he was travelling in collided with another vehicle at Valiyakulam here this morning.
