Prince of Wales Charles visited the Vazhachal waterfalls on Tuesday. The Prince, who reached Vazhachal Inspection Bungalow by 1.30 p.m., visited the waterfalls and forest areas in Vazhachal forest division.

The heavy rain that lashed the forest area did not dampen his spirit. After enjoying the beauty of the forest, he returned to the inspection bungalow. He visited a photo exhibition on wild animals organised by the forest department at the bungalow. Later, he interacted with Ajeesh, Sentle Kumar and Geetha, representatives of tribal communities. Prince Charles also interacted with Vava Suresh (snake catcher); Thadi Kannan (elephant lover); Balpadi (birdwatcher); Mari (plant enthusiast) and S. Guruvayurappn (animal rights activist). He visited the waterfalls again before leaving Vazhachal at 4.15 p.m.
