Supporters of the former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa met on the premises of District Cooperative Central Bank here on Friday to discuss the preparations for the Karnataka Janata Paksha’s convention to be held in Haveri on December 9.

MP B.Y. Raghavendra, Sorab MLA H. Halappa, former minister Basavanyappa, and president of Karnataka State Cooperative Apex Bank R.M. Manjunatha Gowda took part in the meeting. President of Shimoga Zilla Panchayat Geetha Mallikarjuna, president of Shimoga Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee S.S. Jyotiprakash, and a few functionaries of the Shimoga District Chamber of Commerce and Industry also attended the meeting.

Member of Karnataka State Planning Board B.R. Jayanth, addressing the meeting, underscored the need to support Mr. Yeddyurappa for the comprehensive development of the State.

A member of Shimoga Zilla Panchayat, an associate of Mr. Yeddyurappa, said that more than 50,000 people would attend the convention.
