Noted Kannada poet, writer and playwright Ramachandra Deva (65) died at a private hospital here on Wednesday evening. He is survived by two daughters. According to family sources, he was suffering from heart-related problems for the past three months. Mr. Deva lived on his farm in Kalmadka village of Dakshina Kannada district. Mr. Deva occasionally wrote in English and taught the language in various colleges. He has translated Shakespeare’s Hamlet into Kannada. He headed Bodhi Trust — a literary-cultural organisation — which publishes books. — Special Correspondent
