The Center For Revival of Indigenous Art (CFRIA), a voluntary organisation, will conduct an introductory workshop on Chittara paintings from November 28 to December 2.

CFRIA, which is working towards reviving, preserving and supporting declining indigenous art practices, will hold the workshop on its premises at 452, 1st Floor, 3rd Cross, Wilson Garden in the city.

Chittara is a native art practice of the Deevaru community. The drawings are intricate patterns that represent the auspicious ceremonies and rituals of life symbolised in geometric patterns. It is a socio- cultural art practice of women passed on from generation to generation using ecofriendly materials.
