A 21-day training-cum-workshop on ‘Testing and evaluation' is under way at the Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL) here.
The workshop, conducted by the Centre for Testing and Evaluation under the National Testing Service-India, concludes on May 31.Guest lecturers, resource persons of seven regional language centres (RLCs) of CIIL and NTS-India and a few research scholars of various universities are attending the workshop, according to a press release here. The objective of the programme is to train and develop human resources in the field of testing and evaluation with respect to all the Indian languages.
In addition to lectures by various resources persons, Pon Subbiah, former head of NTS-India and the Centre for Testing and Evaluation, is delivering a series of special lectures on ‘Fundamentals of Testing and Evaluation' from May 24 to 26. Prof. Rajesh Sachdeva, Director, CIIL, is the chief adviser of the programme. M. Balakumar, Head, NTS-India and CT and E, CIIL; V. Ilangovan, Senior Resource Person; NTS-India, and Biresh Kumar, R. Senkuttuvan and Yesudass, Resource Persons, NTS-India; are coordinating the programme, the release added.
