BHADRAVATI: MLA B.K. Sangamesh has said that elected representatives should work unitedly for the development of their constituencies. Speaking at a function to inaugurate a new building of the Government High School at Mavinakere extension in the taluk recently, he said politics should be given importance only during elections and not at all times.

Mr. Sangamesh said Rs. 70 lakh had been sanctioned for asphalting roads at Mavinakere. A sum of Rs. 4.5 lakh would be released from the MLA's fund for the construction of a bridge at Hadlaghatta.

Taluk panchayat president Raghunatha Rao Gidde and Taluk panchayat member M.S. Kumar spoke.

Bicycles were distributed to 10 girl students under the Government scheme.

The programme was presided over by the village leader Javare Gowda. Block education officer Shankarappa and school development and monitoring committee members were felicitated.
