He was speaking at the Bharatiya Bouddha Dhamma Parishat in the Rang Mandir here on Saturday. Bhante Varajyoti of Buddha Vihara Bangalore urged the youth to strive towards establishing an egalitarian society. “The principles of non-violence, not stealing or lying, staying away from intoxicants and refraining from adultery not only guarantee inner peace to the practicing individual but also move us towards a fair and just society. Everyone will be equal in such a society and have equal opportunities,” he said. Nagaraj Lamboo, president of the Bharatiya Bheem Dal, said that there was high awareness of Buddhism in the Hyderabad Karnataka region.
