Bangalore: A 45-year-old woman was found murdered with her throat slit at a house in K.R. Layout in J.P. Nagar police station limits on Friday.
The police said the victim Indira Kumari of Nagaland had been living in the city for the past three years. She was employed as a cook in a house near J.P. Nagar. On Thursday, after attending a party, she came along with her cousin to his place in K.R. Layout. The cousin, who stays in a small room, went to his neighbour’s house to sleep. When he returned home on Friday morning, he saw Indira lying in a pool of blood.
Burglars struck at a house and made away with gold jewellery worth Rs. 1 lakh at Shiridi Sai Rathan Layout at Hegdenagar in K.G. Halli police station limits. The police said that the burglars broke into the home of Sudhir Madhukar Rao Naragundha, a software engineer, by cutting the window grills when he had been to Delhi to attend a family function. The police said that Mr. Naragundha left for Delhi on March 28 and returned on April 2.
In another incident, burglars struck at a house at Matadahalli in R.T. Nagar police station limits and took away gold jewellery worth Rs. 22,000. The police said Ameena Taj had been to Tumkur to attend the funeral of one of her relatives. She left for Tumkur on Wednesday night and returned early on Thursday and found that the house had been burgled.
