The inflow into Kabini reservoir in Mysore district has increased because of the downpour in its catchment area in Wayanad in Kerala.
The water-level on Tuesday stood at 2,263.29 ft as against the maximum of 2,284 ft. The inflow was at the rate of 15,859 cusecs and outflow was at the rate of 100 cusecs, sources in the Irrigation Department told The Hindu .
Kabini is the first reservoir in the State to reach the full reservoir level. With good rains in Kodagu district, the inflow into Harangi dam too has gone up. The inflow was at the rate of 3,920 cusecs on Tuesday and the outflow was nil. The water-level stood at 2,821.05 ft as against the full reservoir level of 2,859 ft, sources said.
