Tumkur district in-charge Secretary Shalini Rajneesh on Monday visited villages in Gubbi, Kunigal and Turuvekere taluks in the district where there is drinking water shortage. Deputy Commissioner K.S. Sathyamurthy and the officials reviewed the works taken up to provide drinking water in some of the villages identified as experiencing acute shortage of drinking water in the district. Ms. Rajneesh visited G. Hosahalli in Gubbi taluk and said the government will help to provide pump and motor for borewells.
